International Peace Day Celebrated in Kashmir

Be The Change -a local NGO formed recently organized a series of PEACE programs in Sports stadium Pulwama south Kashmir. Dozens on school children college students participated in the program. The program was followed by a debate of PEACE, A painting competition on PEACE, Signature campaign on PEACE, Music for PEACE and a huge rally on PEACE. Thousands of students participated in the rally and hold peace cards, charts, quotes and flex over peace. This was one of the first programs on international peace held in Kashmir particularly in pulwama. The program was telecasted live on two local TV channels HBN Channel & Web TV. The program was organized by the head of NGO – Be The Change, Waheed Ur Rehman Para. The initiative “Be The Change” is grass root level effort made by a potent team of organized and networked youth across valley. We are trying to start the initiative across valley and to take the global burning issues. Be just want to convey that young people in valley are much more capable, energetic and concern for global peace, waheed said while talking with us. Our message is that we are concerned for regional, national & world peace weather the people across are concern about us or not. We will try to make Kashmir am centre for Peace. The program continued from 10 am to 3 pm with a wide audience of thousands of young people including both boys and girls. The program had a huge signature campaign for Peace where people voluntarily signed for global peace and harmony. This has been a unique program of its kind in valley and we enjoyed the platform, it was vent out of inside feelings, a student namely Tufail said. Peace banners included we want global Peace, Peace not Pieces, Lets be the change that we want to see into the world. We are the change, we are the future.
