MUSCAT (Press for Peace) - Thousands of people including PFP volunteers participated in a peaceful protest rally on Friday in favor of the Palestinians and against the brutal atrocities of Israel in Gaza. Such kinds of rallies and processions are normally not allowed in this region but special permission was obtained from the Royal Police of Oman to conduct this procession in the parking area of the Grand Mosque of Ghala. The procession started at 4:00 PM from the main gate of the Grand mosque where thousands of people were already gathered way before the commencement. People (men, women and children) belonging to different countries participated. They were carrying the placards and banners which reflected the slogans in favor of peace in Palestine and against the killings of innocent people by Israel in Gaza.
The procession passed through different routs in the the garden of the mosque and formed a big rally where various scholars and eminent leaders delivered speeches condemning the shameful acts of Israel on the innocent people. The speakers expressed the solidarity with the Palestinian people and appealed to the United Nations & the world leaders for the immediate war end in Gaza. They said that the series of such rallies will be continued till the restoration of full peace and prosperity in the Middle East and Gaza in particular. The rally ended with special prayers for those who were martyred in Gaza.
