Peace March at Henry Martin Institute, India

The participants across India and South Asia demanded early resolution to Kashmir issue as it can neglect a spark of war in the region.

Peace and human rights activists from different South Asian countries are being trained at Henry Martin Institute, (HMI) which is an ecumenical Christian organisation, dedicated to the objective study and teaching of religions, the promotion of interfaith relations and reconciliation.

The HMI arranged a demo for peace in the region. The participants were carrying different play cards which supported peace, tolerance and harmony.

Play cards and charts inscribed the slogan ‘stop bloodshed in Kashmir’ were also seen in the hands of participants of South Asia Peace Workshop. A large number of participants prayed for bring peace in Kashmir.

The participants condemned the deaths of innocent kashmiries and also said that AFSPA should be immediately revoked from Kashmir and state should be demilitarized.

Waheed Ur Rehman is participant of Kashmir has upraised the other people in workshop regarding the ongoing turmoil and HRW in state.
